| The Or Vishua Institute was established in 2000 under the initiative of the Rav of the Technion, Rabbi Dr. Eliahu Rahamim Zini, shlita, for the purpose of building an extensive idealistic, religious and Zionist presence in Haifa that would include Yeshivat Hesder, a higher education yeshiva, kindergartens, diverse acts of benevolence and community activities. From its inception, Or Vishua was set up for the benefit of the diversified Haifa community. |
| Our schools are open to all those seeking Torah and knowledge, drawing support from the broad-based community of Technion graduates, the hi-tech workforce and students of the Rav, who provide our institutes with sustenance and enable our high intellectual and social level, our openness to different socio-economic groups in Israel, and our extensive community work in diverse areas such as immigrant absorption, hosting families, distribution of food to the needy, Bar-Mitzvah activities, etc. |
| Near the Or Vishua institute, Rabbi-Dr. Eliahu Rahamim Zini’s all-embracing literary enterprise publishes the scholarly writings of rabbinical scholars through the ages, the Rav’s original research writings and top translations of works from great European Jewish scholars of previous generations. |
| The Or Vishua Institute’s Yeshivat Hesder program integrates talented youth who seek to carry out their full capabilities in a wide open atmosphere of independent thought, with a strong emphasis on the true spiritual treasures of the nation of Israel through the ages and development of the students’ leadership capabilities. |
